Hi to all dear friends ,
Soon after I bought my Minium model I felt disappointed because of its low range of control. I red a lot of messages of yours about the same problem as mine, so I began to make some changes to the model and to the radio in order to find out a solution.
Many people are saying that even if they were flying in the same area all the times, they were loosing control of the model at diffent distances.
I thought there couldn't be other radio interferences in the air: the problem should be another one.
I managed to bring the antenna of the model outside the fuselage , but the result was not 100% good.
The range embettered, but sometimes, even if the model was near to me, I lost control.
Some months ago I bought a very thin wire to create the antenna for the (microplanesolution) micro rx ; so I used a part of this wire in order to extend the antenna of the Minium so that now a part of the antenna leans from the bottom of the model. I added this part to the antenna because I thought that the reason why the control was lost, depended upon the position of the model on flight comparing to the Tx, and the position of the antenna comparing to the RX.
Actually I realized that in some condition of flight the model can hide with its fuselage the radio control. So I soon soldered the new antenna with the old one and then I rolled the two wires together.
Today I tryed to fly in the same place where I had always problems before these changings in order to verify the quality of the signal with the model soon flying and not on the floor. The result is satisfying:I never lost control of the model I reached the more far visible distant point for my eyes and the heights to make looping!!!
I think that all these changings should be made in order to reach the best range and prevent to loose control.
i post also my Minium with mod. antenna TX and RX. and I hope that these my mods are useful also for all.
