Magari ho scoperto l'acqua calda ma alla 10 miglia di quest'anno il concorrente tedesco visualizzava sul display della sua radio (una multiplex) il dato riguardante la velocita' della barca . Credo che potesse essergli utile per capire quanto andava la barca anche quando era molto distante dalla vista...
Ho visto che in una bella impoppata ha toccato i 35 Km/h col suo dragon force95
Thank God it wasn't that much, the boat would have been out of sight within seconds!

At home I did some analysis with the gps logger, downwind leg from Pai to Torri:



the pink line is the distance to the start point
the blue line is the heading
the green line is the speed

A weed stop round about at 1:00:00,000, some wipe outs at 1:06:40,000 and 1:15:00,000
The last two Km were definitely jogging speed, I had to run around the bay of Torri while the boat went the shortest way through the bay.
