I think they did not manage to get a working yaw compensation implemented.
A full implementation of a virtual flybar has to consider the rotor mast as the reference axis for the helis attitude and not the helis body.
E.g. if the heli is in fff, nose pointing down, roll attitude neutral and is yawed by 90° left, the resulting attitude of the helis body would be rolled to the right and pitch axis neutral. It would continue flying sidewards on nearly the same vector as before yawing (ignoring the wheathervane effect right now).
Think of that cool 3D videos with fast funnels with changing orientations - nose up - nose down - forward - backwards and all while keeping a perfect circle.
Pretty difficult if not impossible to do if the helis body would be considered as a reference instead of the main rotor axis. That's what a physical flybar does, it is fully decoupled from the helis body and heading (yaw axis heading!).
Now with a virtual flybar the sensor (3 axis gyro) is fixed to the body of the heli and the system needs to compute a new pitch and roll attitude when the heli yaws and move the helis body accordingly. It needs to rotate the pitch and roll attitude according to the amount that the helis body has yawed and additionally it needs to do it in a way that feels natural to a pilot that expects the behaviour of a typical bell/hiller flybared heli. At least certain fbl systems allow to configure how aggressive the yaw compensation reacts.
The AS3X in the msrx doesn't do that, instead it disables the attitude hold on the pitch and roll axis, changes to a dampening mode, goes neutral and transfers more control to the sticks.
Kind of a better-than-nothing yaw compensation "
