Enabling Bank Switching on DX7
DX7 using the flight mode switch
1. Go to the system menu, scroll to the [INPUT SELECT] submenu and set GEAR to GEAR and AUX2 to INH.
2. Go to the normal menu, scroll to the [REVERSING SW] submenu and set 'ch 5' to NORM.
3. Scroll to the [SUB TRIM] submenu and set 'GEAR' value -75.
4. Scroll to the [TRAVEL ADJUST] submenu and set 'GEAR' upper and lower values to +100% and -100%.
5. Scroll to the [PROG. MIX1] submenu and set the following:
GEAR -> GEAR
RATE +75%
0%
SW:F-S12
OFFSET: 0
6. Scroll to the [PROG. MIX3] submenu and set the following:
GEAR -> GEAR
RATE +100%
0%
SW:F-S2
OFFSET: 0
7. Go to the system menu, scroll to the [INPUT SELECT] submenu and set GEAR to INH and AUX2 to F.MOD.
You will now be set up with the following:
Throttle Hold = Bank 1
Normal flight mode = Bank 1
Flight Mode 1 = Bank 2
Flight Mode 2 = Bank 3
Before flying, disconnect your motor and test your heli on the bench with your vbar connected to your laptop and verify that you can see the banks switching. Also, ensure that you have the vbar settings copied across all banks 0 to 3. If this is not done, you could loose control of the heli when switching to a bank that is not programmed.
It's really useful when trying out different vbar settings during a single flight. Try it for yourself.
