Here is a new release of the BLHeli software for SiLabs ESCs, now at Rev3.0.

The following additions/updates are done:
- Added PPM (1050us-1866us) as accepted input signal
The ESC can now be used also with a regular receiver (PPM signal). PPM rate up to several hundred Hz is supported.
- Added startup rpm and acceleration as programming parameters. This programmability is added for the cases where the load is different from a typical small heli environment (like plane or quadcopter).
- Added option for using voltage measurements to compensate motor power. The intention of this is to provide more accurate governor and tail operation. If it really does, remain to be evaluated. It is default off, if you want to test it you must enable it.
- Added governor target by setup as a governor mode option (works similar to the Castle "set rpm" mode). The target is default set to 70%. If you want to run this mode at other governor targets, you must use the "BLHeli setup" software to change target.
- Some other improvements:
Governor is kept active regardless of rpm (to avoid going in and out of governed headspeed at very low rpms (about 2600rpm 6pole 8T pinion).
Smooth governor spoolup/down in arm and setup modes. Spooldown now start at 20% throttle in these modes. Do not set your "arm" or "setup" v-curves near this 20% value. At zero throttle the motor stops (as before).
Increased governor P and I gain programming ranges. A large range, lots of choices.
Increased and changed low voltage limit programming range. Also default is raised to 3.2V/cell from 3.0V/cell (to avoid LVC from the 3in1 before the ESC limits).
Disabled tx programming entry for all but the first arming sequence after power on (to avoid inadvertently entering program mode).
Made it default not to rearm for every restart. Now you only do the arming sequence on the initial spoolup, and do not need to rearm on subsequent stop/starts.

There are now a lot of programming parameters and values. Which of course are best handled with the "BLHeli setup" program. But if you do not have the Toolstick, it is now possible to do TX programming faster:
You can skip parameters in tx programming by setting throttle anywhere between full throttle and zero throttle.

They can be found on github: https://github.com/bitdump/BLHeli

Thanks,
Steffen
