Io ci ho comunque provato: ecco quanto ho scritto a GAUI, vediamo se e cosa dice...!

Dear Technical Department,
Subject: Gaui 425/550 OWB exceptional failure rate
As you surely know, the captioned model is showing a dramatic increase of failure rate of the OWB assembly (two modes are so far known: rupture, probably due to fatigue, of pinion collar, and roll cage destruction), both leading to loss of traction and catastrofic crash.
Many users are so afraid of this unforeseenable failure mode (and rate) that many many models are left on ground or scrapped. Furthermore, the GAUI brand is perceived as not enough caring of its weaknesses.
As engineer, I recognize some weakness in design and mainly in the quality of components used. Someone says that new generation of OWB (new code) would have been solving the issue, but so far field experience are showing that nothing changed in substance, same failure mode and rate. Forums are plenty of this angry evidence, blaming GAUI for that.
Purpose of my email is to invite you to provide the market with a clear statement of you position , both in technical terms, and how GAUI is looking to solve the matter.
Even some mitigation indications on your side can promote a reassurance climate among pilots.
In case you wish to anticipate anything to me, it will be my pleasure to post into our current forums, many about your, for the rest fantastic, model.
A kind acknowledgement of this mail would be really appreciated.
with my best regards,
Luca
